Factor each expression:

x^2-144/x+4 times x^2-16/x+12

This is what I got:
(x+12)(x-12)/x+4 times (x-8)(x+2)/x+12

How is the answer x^2-16x+48

  • Math check -

your factored expression should have been

    (x+12)(x-12)/x+4) * (x-4)(x+4)/x+12
    = (x-12)(x-4)
expand this to get the answer given
