i saw this question from physics book, can someone please help me solve this.. thank you..

A man pulls a 500 Newton block up a plane inclined 300 with the horizontal with a force of 300 Newton parallel to the plane. What net force tends to pull the block up the plane?

  • Physics -

    No friction?

the part of the weight the block going down the plane is mgSinTheta.

So the pushing force is opposing that "sliding down the plane weight force".

    Net force up: 300-500sinTheta
