What is the solution of x-4 is less than 4 and x + 4 is greater than 7

Use inequalities:
x-4<4
add 4 to each side:
x-4+4 < 4+4
so
x<8
x+4>7
subtract 4 from each side:
x+4-4 > 7-4
x>3
So
3<x<8
If x is an integer, then x=4,5,6,or 7
