You Got To write an ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSION!

10 times the difference of d and 3

Is: (d*3)-10

My hw says explain why the plot u plotted is correct in between 2 n 3 there are 3 lines and you want to get 2 n 1/6 so I plotted the line between 2 and the line after that can u explain how I'm right ???

Janae,

What you have written is d times 3, minus 10.

Me,
Please post this separately. Use Post a New Question above.

Ok So 10*(d-3)

Yes -- but you can remove the *

By putting d-3 in parentheses right next to 10, multiplication is assumed.

Oh i get it any number beside the parentheses is multiplication

so if it says 7 minus the product of 2 and x
Product Means To Mulitiply.
so my answer will be (2-x)7

Yes on your first statement.

But your second statement means the product of 2 minus x times 7.

But the problem says 7 minus the product . . .

nope... it's 7-(2x)

So Its 7-(2*x)

u don't have to put "*" cuz (2x) means to multiply too

i'm doing the same sums ur doing now too..just started the 9th grade lol
