find the x and y intercepts of the line given by the equation

8x + 3y = 13
Would it be 13/8 and 13/3?

  • math -

    x intercept when y = 0
    13/8 yes
    y intercept when x = 0
    13/3 yes

  • math -

    yeah, true.
For x intercept, sub y=0 into the equation, and you'll get 13/8
For y intercept, sub x=0 into the equation and you'lll get 13/3
