Unit price usually refers to the price per pound or ounce (in the USA). The unit price usually, but no always, decreases when you buy larger sizes. Most supermarkets are required to post the actual price (per item) in large type and the unit price in small type on the shelves. If they don't, take a hand calculator and do the calculation yourself.
