i cant solve this can someone help me.

19.6 + X^2/2 ={(.007852*X /.001285)^2}/2

i know the answer is 1.01 but how do i get that

  • algerbra -

    19.6 + X^2/2 ={(.007852*X /.001285)^2}/2
    Multiply both sides by 2:

    39.2 + x² = (.007852/.001285)²x²

    6.1105²x² - x² = 39.2
    x²=1.07875
    x=±1.039
