The alarm had (rung, rang) to soon for me.

=rang
The party (began, begun) at seven oclock.
= began

One is wrong.

Please check the past tense and past participles of both verbs.

Also --it should be TOO soon . . .

Thanks Ms. Sue:)

Thanks YAKIME for help on the english but I don't need the comments. I needed help with the homework. Not your opinion of whether or not it's college.
THANKS!

You're welcome, Ariel.

I deleted Yakime's post because her answer was wrong.

I kinda thought but thanks:) Ms. Sue... once again.

Correct! In the first sentence, the correct word is "rang" because "rang" is the past tense of the verb "ring." To confirm this, you can identify the base form of the verb and apply the past tense rule. In this case, the base form is "ring," so the past tense is "rang."

In the second sentence, the correct word is "began" because "began" is the past tense of the verb "begin." To confirm this, you can identify the base form of the verb and apply the past tense rule. In this case, the base form is "begin," so the past tense is "began."
