I'm supposed to write a paragraph on this :

Defend the statement: The United States was an imperialist nation at the beginning of the 20th Century.

Could someone answer this too and not post a website?

    The beginning of the 20th century was either 1900 or 1901.

    What colonies or dependencies did the U.S. rule in 1900? Does the possession of these people make the U.S. an imperialist nation?
