I a working on a APA document that has to be correctly formated. My question to you is, when I am citing, "where do I", or "do I" put the chapter number in the cite ? ..example, this was taken from chapter 7.... varicocele: enlarged veins of the spermatic cord (Brooks, 2009 p. 269)<----Do I put chapter 7 in this, if so, where?

When citing a source in APA format, including the chapter number is optional but can be helpful for readers to locate specific information within a book. If you want to include the chapter number in your citation, you can put it after the year, but before the page number.

In your example, you can include the chapter number "7" after the year, like this:

varicocele: enlarged veins of the spermatic cord (Brooks, 2009, Chapter 7, p. 269)

Please note that the chapter number should be spelled out as "Chapter" and followed by the actual number.

Alternatively, if you prefer not to include the chapter number, your citation would look like this:

varicocele: enlarged veins of the spermatic cord (Brooks, 2009, p. 269)

Remember to follow the APA guidelines consistently throughout your document, including in-text citations and the reference list.
