Use multiplying by one to find an expression equivalent to 12/11 with a denominator of 77z.

I have an entire worksheet of problems like this. Could someone please explain to me how to complete this type of problem.

Is the denominator 77z or 77?

Look at the first fraction 12/11

Find the denominator which is 11
Find denominator of second fraction which is 77

What do you multiply 11 by to get 77?

You multiply 11 by 7 to get 77

Whatever you do to the denominator you do do the numerator.

So 12*7 = 84

Equivalent fraction of 12/11 = 84/77

To check your answer divide 12 by 11 and 84 by 77, you should get the same answer.
