i was wondering if this was cheating by having others look and help us with the work?
We try hard to keep students from cheating on this site. We don't think it's cheating to have others give you suggestions about your work. It's all part of learning -- and no one expects students to learn all on their own.
Please post what you have in mind, and we'll try to help you improve it.
