A race car's velocity increases from 3.6 m/s to 32.4 m/s over a 5s time interval. What is its average acceleration?

Velocity ansdspeed are the same number in this case since it keeps going in the same direction.
According to the definition of acceleration,
acceleration
= (velocity change)/(time interval)
= (speed change)/(time interval)
= (32.4  3.6)/5 m/s^2
= _______ m/s^2
