Andy paid $66 for 6 tulips and 18 roses. The next week,he bought 4 tulips and 7 roses for $29. What is the unit price for ea kind of flower?
_______________, __________________

Let the unit price of tulips be T and the unit price of roses be R.
4T + 7R = 29
6T + 18R = 66
Solve that pair of equations.
12T + 21R = 87
12T + 36R = 132
15R = 45
R = $3.00
4T = 29  21 = 8
T = $2.00
