5B. Provide a detailed narrative that identifies your selected communication event and describes your imagined scene, including your own behaviors and responses and the reactions of the other person in the communication event.

5B. Covert Practice: Choose a communication event that you would like to prepare for covertly. Then, in a quiet place, begin thinking about the conversation, as you’d like to see it evolve. When you hit rough spots, try a variety of options until you find a response that pleases you. When you’re satisfied with your imagined scene, write it out so you can see how it looks and read it aloud so you can hear how it sounds.

Can this be used as a good response?
• I wanted to get better acquainted with a girl I found through facebook for networking purposes. I contacted that person by sending them a message on facebook, first just introducing myself asking general questions about school and career focused ideas on life. I then went on to discuss how I feel she would be a great professional and personal life mentor to me. Her reactions came back quite well as she was able to identify with me and I feel felt quite comfortable talking to me, even though we did not know each other and never met in person.

***Provide a detailed narrative...
