Something that is tangential to getting good results:

a. drinking tea
b. proper planning
c. paying attention
d. working hard

a. drinking tea?

Check this definition.

paying attention?

Correct, the other three methods are effective and relevant, and NOT tangential

Can you please explain to me how drinking tea is "effective and relevant" to getting good results? I don't understand.

It is a very lousy question. Tangential has various definitions. See that dictionary link. If you use def 3, you are right, drink tea.

Most of us Math geeks prefer tangential to mean along the same direction, so I would have chosen Planning. But working hard, and paying attention also are related to that.

So the different answer is drinking tea, and using def 3.

Bad, Bad Question.

That's what I was thinking

Thank you

You misread my answer

You must have missed my second response. I changed my answer, therefore I assumed you were responding to that.

Drinking tea may not directly lead to getting good results, but it can have some tangential benefits. Tea, especially green tea, contains caffeine and L-theanine, which can improve alertness and focus. These properties can indirectly contribute to better results by increasing your productivity and attention span. Additionally, certain herbal teas like chamomile or peppermint can have relaxing effects, which can help reduce stress and promote better sleep. Good sleep and reduced stress levels are both factors that can contribute to improved performance in various aspects of life. So, while drinking tea alone may not guarantee good results, it can be a small but beneficial element in an overall healthy and balanced lifestyle.
