A ball is thrown vertically upward from a bridge 70 meters above the river with a velocity of 44 m/s. How high above the water did the ball rise?

  • Physics -

    When does it get to the top?
    Well vf at top is zero.
    Vf=0=44-gt
    t= 44/g seconds
    Then, height is 44*44/g-1/2 g (44/g)^2 above the starting point, then add 70 to get height above the river.
