Do you mean to distribute them like 9*70 + 9*3?

Distributive property for multiplication over addition means that when a numer N multiplies the sum of two numbers, the result is the same as the sum of the number N multiplied by the individual numbers.

Take your example,
9*(73) = 657
But
9*(73) = 9*70 + 9*3 = 630 + 27 =657

The fact that they are equal doing the multiplication either way is due to the distributive property of multiplication over addition.

To distribute property, also known as the distributive property of multiplication over addition, we need to multiply each term inside the parentheses by the term outside the parentheses.

In the expression 9 * 73, we don't have any parentheses. Therefore, there is no need to use the distributive property in this case.

To simply calculate the answer, you can multiply 9 by 73 using the standard multiplication method:

9
x 73
__________
63 (9 x 3)
+ 630 (9 x 70)
__________
657

So, 9 multiplied by 73 equals 657.
