Nope. Most of the Danube is in western Europe.

My book says-

"The Danube River dominates the region below the Carpathians. It has been called a "lifeline" in the region."

And when i googled it, I got the same answer. I think it is B...What's your reasoning Ms.Sue?

Thanks

I was wrong when I said most of the Danube flows through western Europe. Only about one-fourth of it is in Austria and Germany in western Europe. The rest of it is in eastern Europe.

However, the Volga is totally in eastern Europe and is longer and perhaps more important to that region than the Danube.

But..what about what my text said? At first I thought it was the Volga, but I'm so confused!

You're sure that's it?

Thanks

-MC

That is confusing. However, I still believe the only possible correct answer is the Volga because it's entirely in eastern Europe. Also, it's also called a "lifeline."

I'm gonna ask my teacher just to be sure and then I'll let you know what she says when she replies. I think that'll be best

Yes. Thanks.
