I have two algebra equations and I have to solve for x.
2x+3y=78
3x+2y=72
Not sure how to do this.

multiply the top equation by 3, the bottom by 2
6x+9y=78*3
6x+4y=72*2
subtract the bottom eq from the first.
5y= 78*3-72*2
solve for y, then go back to any equation ans solve for x.
