Use the distributive property to solve the equation.

8(w-4)=-32
W=

This is how I did it, I don't think it is right.
8(w-4)=-32
8w - 8*4 = -32
w = -24

• algebra -

8(w-4)=-32

8w - 8*4 = -32 This is OK

so
8w - 32 = -32 now add 32 to each side

32
