I am sorry but I am not good at math, this may seem like a dumb question but I don't do well with word problems? I can't figure it out, maybe I am making it too hard on myself, can someone point me to the right direction?

. The distance from Philadelphia to Sea Isle City is 100 mi. A car was driven this distance using tires with a radius of 14 in. How many revolutions of each tire occurred on the trip?

The distance around a tire is 2PI*14 inches, or 2PI14/12 feet.

100 miles is 100*5280 feet

So, number of revolutions is

(100*5280)/(2*PI*14/12)

In my head, I get about 72000 revolutions
