Write a reaction showing what happens to the following in water and identify te conjugate pairs.

I assume C6H5NH3 has a + charge on it.

C6H5CH3^+ + HOH ==> C6H5NH2 + H3O^+
CO3^-2 + HOH ==> HCO3^- + OH^- and
HCO3^- + HOH ==> H2CO3 + OH^-
and the H2CO3 then ==> CO2 + H2O
HCOOH + HOH ==> HCOO^- + H3O^+
Now you identify the conjugate pairs. To do that, just look where the proton goes. In equation 1, the HOH accepts a proton which makes HOH a base and its conjugate pair of H3O^+ and acid. Of course that makes C6H5NH3^+ and C6H5NH2 the other pair (C6H5NH3^+ is the acid and C6H5NH2 is its conjugate base.
