Hannah took a trip to visit her cousin. She drove 120 miles to reach her cousin's house and the same distance back home. What was her average speed, in miles per hour, for the first 1.2 hours of the trip?

This question can't be answered until you know the time it took her to drive the 240 miles.

All I know is that it took her 1.2 hours to get halfway to her cousin's house.

u cant answer this ? because u don't hav enough info u need to no the total time u were driving ps did u write the ? down correctly

Ahh! It took her 1.2 hours to go 60 miles.

60 / 1.2 = 50 mph.

thank you

You're welcome.

This is a continuation: Hannah's average speed for the remainder of the trip to her cousin's house was 40 miles per hour. How long, in hours, did it take her to drive the remaining difference?

I got 33.3 mph by dividing 40 by 1.2, but i'm not sure if i'm right..

And it continues: Traveling home along the same route, Hannah drove at an average rate of 55 miles perhour. After 2 hours her car broke down. How many miles was she from home?

I don't know if I'm right, but I multiplied 55 by 2 to get 110, and then subtracted 110 from 120 to get 10 miles..
