What would have a lower boiling point: alkanes or alkynes? Why?

I would expect the boiling point of the alkynes to be higher than the boiling point of alkanes because the intermolecular forces for alkynes are higher. Remember that the H atoms on the alkyne (acetylene for example) are more acidic than those on alkanes. So there is more attraction between molecules which makes it harder to give them enough energy to escape to the vapor phase.
