THANK YOU!!!!!

Carly Diane

I found a quote what about this "Are we to paint what's on the face what's inside the face or what's behind it?"

Okay in chapter four, you know how Jack and the rest of the "hunters" had painted their faces?

I have to find at least 5 quotes out of the book to support that "theme".

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help!!!!!

The actual question on the paper reads:
-Include at least five quotes/excerpts from the novel and the supporting theme (painted faces). Document each quote with the page number.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!

Alex that quote is perfect...do you have the page number??

Um.... I typed on google quotes on painted faces I didn't know it came from a book. Is the book called painted faces because I could look it up on google.

The book is called "lord of the flies" by william golding.

Thank you soooo much!!!

Ok here's one quote I found

"I painted my face-- I stole up now you eat-- all of you-- and I--"

Page 67 Chapter 4

OMG. You are reading Lord of the Flies. Ok, the theme is the guys are reverting to primitive culture, instead of advancing civilization. That theme actually is the point of the book, that in a Nuclear age, and in Stalin's Russia, civilization was going backwards.

You need to find quotes relating the painting of the faces to bringing out primitive emotions. I don't have that book in my library ( and wont have it) but look at the quotes.

Look at the cites here in bookrags, and look at the text around those specified.
