how do you turn a decimal into a fraction or a mixed number in simplest form?

  • math -

You need to "read" the decimal.

    For instance,
    0.1 is one-tenth = 1/10
    0.25 is 25 hundredths = 25/100 = 1/4
    1.65 is one and 65 hundredths = 1 65/100 = 1 13/20
