for the first one:

my book says that Americans believed that the U.S. had a divine mission to spread liberty across the continent--manifest destiny. so wouldnt that make the answer D?

i'm not sure about #2. but here's what i found for #3, 4 parts to the Monrow Doctrine:

1. The U.S. would not get involved in the internal affairs of European coutries, nor would it take sides in wars among them.
2. the U.S. recognized the existing colonies and states in the Western Hemisphere and would not interfere with them
3. the U.S. would not permit any further colonization of the Western Hemisphere
4. any attempt by a European power to control any nation in the Western Hemisphere would be viewed as a hostile action toward the U.S

so what would be the answer?

Is the continent the world?

it doesnt talk about the other three choices either

D. is not the answer to # 1. The North American continent is only one of seven continents.

Please read the sites I posted.

#1 c

#2 b
#3 c
#4 I'm leaning towards b
