I don't remember Algebra problems being there! You must be telling me I'm an idiot! nevermind,I don't need to ask anyone anything in the line of help! I don't know what I was thinking.I should just forget about trying.I'll just keep trying and failing by myself.

no need to throw a hissy-fit.

I also wondered why somebody claims to have a "college Algebra" question and can't spell 'college'

Besides, this is at most a grade 9 type algebra question.

Anyway, why don't you substitute the value of x given in the second equation into the first.
It solves quite easily.
See if you get x=3 and y = -1

Ummm! I wasn't having a hissy fit! sorry,I have a low self esteam and I really wasn't looking at how I was spelling. Why couldn't she have just let me know that I spelt it wrong? instead of yelling at me? that was rude! and I don't want to ask anymore, but thank you for your response anyway,it was nice! By the way, if I spelt anything wrong in here,I am sorry, now I'm nervous and have failed the spelling b.

I got (3,-1)

good, correct!

Thanks! it feels good to atleast get something right!and thanks for helping with the problem!
