I am writing a paper in APA.

When I get some info from a website, what do I put in parentheses? I can't find a name.

What did you put in the works cited (bibliography)? That will determine what you put in parentheses.

Please re-post and tell me what you put in the works cited list for the particular reference you're asking about.

Notice that this site is telling you what I wrote the other day -- you must have each reference cited in two places. (See paragraph 3)

Read this through and let me know what you decide.

When citing a website in APA format, you need to include the author's name, publication date, title of the webpage or article, name of the website, and the website URL. However, if there is no named author available, you can adjust your citation accordingly.

Here's how you can cite a website without an author in parentheses:

First, include the title of the webpage or article in the citation. Since there is no author, you should use the title of the specific page in quotation marks followed by the publication date in parentheses. For example:

("Title of Webpage," publication date).

If there is no publication date available, you should use the abbreviation "n.d." to indicate "no date." Here's an example:

("Title of Webpage," n.d.).

Make sure to use the specific title of the webpage or article within the larger website. Additionally, you will need to include the full APA citation of the source in your reference list at the end of your paper.

Remember to consult the official APA guidelines or use a citation generator tool to ensure the accuracy of your citations.
