For my homework assignment it is asking me to Choose a terrestrial resource issue discussed in Ch. 12-16 of the text. I know you do not have chapters 12 through 16. But I am wondering if Water Pollution or Land Pollution (i.e.: loss of land because of buildings and population increasing)

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

~Layla

You didn't finish the question. You are wondering if land pollution or water pollution what?

oh sorry...I was wondering if Water Pollution or Land Pollution would be consider a terrestrial resource.

Thanks.

No. Resources are natural conditions that people can use to their advantage. Examples of terrestrial resources: trees, fertile soil, oil, sand, peat, gold, silver, etc.

So would solid waste be an idea. We have to present a slide show on power point regarding a terrestrial resource. The information in the book is stating Pollution and food waste problems. Would these be an idea.

Or would it be choosing soil as a resource and the problems being using land for solid waste?

Yes. One problem in conserving soil as a resource is that we use landfills for solid waste products.

Thank you for your help Ms. Sue. I was really stuck on this and was unable to locate my professor.

You're welcome, Layla.
