Are these two sentences right?
gerund object - I stopped to fix the flat tire.
infinitival object - I stopped fixing the flat tire.
You have infinitives and gerunds mixed up.
Infinitives are to + verb.
Gerunds are verbs used as nouns and ending in -ing.
