15x=1=y sole for x

This is the first of what looks like about 15 problems, all with no work attached and some with errors, as this one is. Apparently you didn't even bother to proof read what you had posted. I can tell you than few volunteers will work these for you. We are here to help you but we won't do the work. You can help yourself by going through and posting a response to each of your posts indicating how you would solve the question OR tell us exactly, and in detail, what you don't understand about the problem.

15X+1=Y SOLVE FOR X!!!!!!

OK Taylor. This is a freebie. But it would help if we knew what you didn't understand about this. To solve for X, you want X on one side and everything else on the other.

Move the 1 to the other side so the equation becomes
15X = Y-1.
Now divide both sides by 15.
15X/15 = (Y-1)/15
X = (Y-1)/15
