i need ideas on why tape recording someone without their knowledge is wrong and immoral.

i already have right to privacy (the fourth amendment)

    Yes, you have the right to privacy. In the expectation of privacy, when you speak so another party, you have a right to expect that the conservation is private. Recording it without your knowledge violates that expectation.

    because the person you record could be hiding from some one in the witness protection plan and they could be found.
    thats just the first idea that came to mind.
