We have to do moneky & hunter project. On research, they did with using electromagnet & hunter assembly. They r hard to find in stores. Do you know any simpler item that I can use??

Do it virtually. My experience is that this cannot be easily done without an electromagnet

Certainly! If you're looking for a simpler alternative to an electromagnet and hunter assembly for your monkey and hunter project, you can consider using a simple pendulum setup. Here's how you can create it:

Materials needed:
1. String or thread
2. Small sphere or any object with weight
3. Support structure (such as a clamp or stand)
4. Stopwatch or timer

Procedure:
1. Attach one end of the string to the support structure securely.
2. Attach the small sphere or object to the other end of the string.
3. Ensure that the string is long enough to allow the small sphere to swing freely.
4. Set up the support structure in a location where there is adequate space for the pendulum to swing without obstructions.
5. Start the swing by pulling the small sphere to one side and releasing it.
6. Use a stopwatch or timer to track the time it takes for the pendulum to complete one full back-and-forth swing, also known as a "period."

By observing the motion of the pendulum and measuring the period of the swings, you can study the concepts of gravity, motion, and time. This setup serves as a simpler alternative to the more complex electromagnet and hunter assembly, while still allowing you to explore similar principles.

Remember, safety is important during any scientific project. Ensure that the pendulum is set up in a safe manner, and always follow proper guidelines and precautions.
