I have to use the numbers....24-12-7-2 and use any combination of division subtraction multiplication and addition to come up with a final sum of 24. I have tried every combination i know of. please help

You can only use the numbers 12, 7, 2, and 24?

Yes only those numbers in any + - Divide or x combination.

Do you have any idea how to do it

12/2=6. 7-6=1. 24x1=24. :P

Sure! To find a combination of operations and numbers that result in a final sum of 24 using the numbers 24, 12, 7, and 2, you can try the following steps:

1. Start by using each number once, combining them with any operations. For example, you could try:

24 / 12 = 2, 2 * 7 = 14, 14 + 2 = 16

In this case, the sum is 16, which is not 24.

2. If step 1 does not yield the desired result, try different combinations of using some numbers more than once. For example:

24 - 12 = 12, 12 + 7 = 19, 19 + 2 = 21

Again, the sum is 21, which is not 24.

3. Continue to explore additional combinations by combining different operations and grouping the numbers in different ways until you find a combination that results in 24.

Here's an example:

24 + 12 = 36, 36 - 7 = 29, 29 - 2 = 27, 27 + 3 = 30, 30 - 6 = 24

In this case, the sum is 24, so you have found a combination that works.

It's important to note that there might be multiple ways to achieve the desired result, so feel free to continue exploring different combinations.
