how do i solve linear equations?
4(k2)+3(k+1) =7.

Multiply out all the terms
4(k2) + 3(k+1)=7
4k + 8 + 3k + 3 = 7
Now combine like terms (all k's and all numbers)
1k + 11 = 7
11  7 = k
So,
k = ?
