I am thinking that they are personal goals, interdepenence, sensitivity, and shared meaning. I just need to know if I am headed in the right direction with this.

Hmmmm. I was thinking in the context of telling the next of kin someone needed to be taken off life support. I am not certain your thinking fits that. In my context, sensitivity, privacy, accurate description of situation and options, and verified understanding would take some importance.
