The site above is a good one for foods. SOME milk is not acidic but apparently most types of milk are slightly scidic. According to the next site, saliva is slightly basic at pH 7.4. We know soft drinks are acidic. Blood has a pH VERY close to 7.3-7.4. See below for links.

The pH of blood can be found at this site and I know it is correct.http://www.chemistry.wustl.edu/~edudev/LabTutorials/Buffer/Buffer.html

The question appears to allow room for more than one answer. Blood is the only answer that is almost ALWAYS right (unless a person is really sick). Saliva is not acidic in most people but it makes a difference whether one has just eaten or not. Most milk is slightly acidic. Soft drinks are acidic.

To determine which of the following is NOT acidic, you need to understand the pH scale. The pH scale measures the acidity or basicity of a substance. It ranges from 0 to 14, with 0 being the most acidic, 14 being the most basic, and 7 being neutral.

To find the answer, you can consider the pH levels of the substances listed:

a. Milk - Milk is slightly acidic, typically having a pH between 6.5 and 6.8.
b. Saliva - Saliva is usually slightly acidic, with a pH ranging from 6.2 to 7.4.
c. Soft drinks - Soft drinks are generally acidic, with low pH levels ranging from 2.5 to 4.0 on average.
d. Blood - Blood is slightly basic, typically having a slightly alkaline pH between 7.35 and 7.45.

Comparing the pH values, you can see that all the options listed are either acidic or slightly basic except for one. From the given options, the substance that is NOT acidic is blood (option d). Therefore, the answer is d., not a.

Note: It is important to note that the pH levels mentioned here are approximate and can vary depending on various factors.
