a. The students are not much interested in English class . About 68% of the students responded "They are a little bored or bored." On the other hand, about 9% of the students are interested in the English class. The teacher should try hard to make many students be interested in English class by using various materials. Especially students are interested in games and songs. So they need to be used in English classes properly.

b. The interest levels vary with different skills. Especially they are interested in listening and reading. They have been studying English more than 4 years, but they still have difficulties in writing. Writing is not easy for even native speakers. Anyway the teacher need to use various activities to increase writing activities.

c. As the important of English communication competence is emphasized, students think of speaking as the most important skill which they should have. They also think writing is important. Writing is closely related to speaking. When students increase writing abilities, they will increase speaking abilities.

d. Most of the students have study materials, but many of them don't seem to study them. As they have study materials, they can study efficiently when they study the textbook. Many students go to private institutes to study English. Some of those who do not go to private institutes don't seem to study English, even not an hour a week. About 34% students only do their homework and seldom study English. So, it is necessary to give them proper homework continuously and check them.

e. Many students, 57% of the students, want both English and Korean to be spoken in class. They seem to be pressured if English only is used English. The teacher should use easy English expressions as much as possible to help them improve their communication competence and motivate them with various activities.

f. Most students like to enjoy the activities about games and song. Therefore, the teacher give a chance to the students to speak out easy English at least in class. They can get rid of the fear of speaking English while they are engaged in the interesting activities.
