Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. You don't need your book, because when you encounter a word you don't know the meaning of, never forget a good dictionary!

declarative = makes a statement; John is at the library.

interrogative = asks a question; Is John at the library?

imperative = command; John, go to the library now.

exclamatory = has an exclamation point as punctuation; John is finally at the library!
