Good evening, could you please see if i have translated this correctly into french, i am not too good at this.

My Dearest Mom,
-Ma plus chère maman,

I pray and trust that this letter will find you in good spirits despite my present situation.
- Je prie et espère que cette lettre vous trouvera dans de bons spiritueux en dépit de ma situation actuelle.

First of all, I must tell you how much I miss you and appreciate all that you have done for me.
- Tout d'abord, je dois te dire combien je vous manque et apprécie tous ce que vous avez faits pour moi.

When I am given a bite to eat in this horrible place, my mind immediately drifts back to those wonderful home-cooked meals and the appetizing aroma that filled the home.
- Quand je suis donné une morsure à manger dans cet endroit horrible, mon esprit dérive immédiatement de nouveau à ces repas maison-cuits merveilleux et à l'arome appétissant qui ont rempli maison.

It helps me get through my meals with pleasure as basically the same thing is served daily.
- Il m'aide à obtenir par mes repas avec plaisir pendant que fondamentalement la même chose est servie quotidiennement.

Things that I used to take for granted like enjoying a breath of fresh air on a clear sunny day, the refreshing scent of a raindrop lightly hitting ones cheek or the beautiful chirping of the birds in the rising of the morning are now utterly left to my imagination.
- Des choses que j'avais l'habitude de prendre pour accordé comme apprécier une bouffée d'air frais un jour ensoleillé clair, le parfum régénérateur d'une goutte de pluie frappant légèrement ceux joue ou le beau gazouillement des oiseaux dans l'augmentation du matin sont maintenant tout à fait laissées à mon imagination.

Each and every day I long for freedom from this pit knowing I was wrongfully accused and pray that justice will be done for all.
- Chaque jour I longtemps pour l'absence de ce puits sachant j'ai été à tort accusé et prie que la justice sera faite pour tous.

It is not fair mother that one should suffer like this. I find it very inhumane and would not wish it upon my worst enemy.
- Ce n'est pas la mère juste qu'on devrait souffrir comme ceci. Je le trouve très inhumain et ne le souhaiterais pas sur mon plus mauvais ennemi.

Out of all this, I find comfort and strength through the faith you’ve instilled in me.
- Hors du tout ceci, je trouve le confort et la force par la foi que vous avez inculquée dans moi.

Please extend my love to the entire family and friends, especially Uncle Bob. I hope he is much better now and tell him we will go fishing as soon as I am free. Please keep me in your prayers.
- Veuillez prolonger mon amour au famille et aux amis entiers, particulièrement oncle Bob. J'espère il est bien mieux maintenant et lui dis que nous irons pêcher dès que je serai libre. Veuillez me maintenir dans vos prières.

Merci beaucoup!

Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. Some suggestions so you will have less trouble:
    1. Never write it out first in English and then try to translate literally. This never works nor will it "flow" well in French. Accept the fact now that you probably will never be able to say exactly what you want to say, even in your native language. SIMPLIFY what you are trying to say, using the structures and vocabulary that you have learned in class.
    2. When you use a good English--->French/French--->English dictionary there are several steps to do. 1) look the English word up for the French. 2) write down every possibility 3) take each French word and look it up for the primary English meaning. There will be surprises! 4) select the very best word(s) based on the context or exactly how it/they is/are used.
    3. When speaking to another person (Mother in this case), decide before you begin if you are using tu (familiar) or vous (formal) and be consistent throughout the paper.

    Ma chère maman (drop "plus")
Each verb deserves its own subject: Je prie et j'espère....te trouvera.... de bon esprits. (spiritueux has to do with alcoholic drinks)

The expression "to miss someone" does NOT work like in English = tu me manques et j'apprécie tout....que tu as fait....

Quand on me donne une bouchée .... "dérive" may not be the best word but "home-cooked" is "faits à la maison ".....l'arôme...a rempli la maison.

(plus mauvais is like "baddest")

....la foi que tu as instillé

Please in this case is a tu (familiar) cmmand = Veuille envoyer à l a famille (feminine word)et aux amis vives amitiés à tous

J'espère qu'il (now you need the Subjunctive) soit mieux...et dis-lui (command)...dès que je sois libre. Veulle me garder dans tes prières.

If you have time to make all the corrections and repost, that would be a good idea, although I'm not sure I'll be back this evening.

When I said to use "te" it was instead of vous = te trouvera de bon esprit (both words singular) or bons esprits (both words plural.

You might like "à ces repas merveilleux faits à la maison" = word order.

Drop the 2nd "apprécier" after rafraîchissant and drop "ceux" so it is légèrement la joue, etc.

Drop dans l'augmentation, replacing it with "oiseaux au jour levant..."

Don't forget accent on accusé and if you are "female" that is "accusée."

Another comma after ",chère mére, qu'on...

The word "à" oncle Bob is a bit better

spelling in the last sentence = Veuille me garder, etc.

    Looks much better now!
