My problem:
ln(2x-3)=ln 9-ln(x-3)
The answer I had which is wrong was 3, (3/2).
The correct answer should be (9/2). I can get the 2 on the bottom, but not the 9 on top. Should I just have taken 3*3, which does not make sense to me?
ln (2x-3) = ln ( 9/(x-3) )
so
2 x - 3 = 9/(x-3)
(2x-3) (x-3) = 9
2x^2 -9x + 9 = 9
2 x^2 - 9 x = 0
x (2 x - 9) = 0
x = 0 or x = 9/2
