I just want to make sure I am understanding the question correctly, and if I am on the right track with my answer.

"How do human resource laws affect human service organizations?"

Human resource laws affect an organization by ensuring that the organization does not discriminate against any qualified applicant regardless of race, sex, age, disabilities or by way of sexual harassment. If a person can perform the job duties for which they are applying, they should be given the same opportunity of obtaining that position based on their qualifications.

Your response seems OK, but rather vague and general.

Human resource laws affect an organization by ensuring that the organization does not discriminate against any qualified applicant for any reason. If a person can perform the job duties for which he or she is applying, he or she should be given the opportunity to compete for that position with other qualified applicants.

Now give some real specifics, not just general phrasings that are so trite, people hardly pay attention anymore.

Thank you very much for your help. I have made the changes.
