I have the same problem as all of you all. But how am I supposed to cite the paper??????? Please help!!!!!!!!

Elizabeth -- what problem are you talking about?

What paper do you need to cite?

Please clarify your question, and we'll be glad to help you with correct ways to cite sources.

It is asking me to list three sources and one from my community. Where am I supposed to get the other two?

I'd imagine that the other sources could be interviews, brochures, etc., that support your ideas in your paper. If it's a research paper, you can't have come up with all the ideas in it all by yourself, right? Where else did you get information, other than your own mind?

What other two? Please see my response in a few minutes to your next question.

Citing a paper is an essential part of academic writing as it gives credit to the original source and allows readers to locate the referenced material. To cite a paper, you need to follow a specific citation style such as APA (American Psychological Association), MLA (Modern Language Association), or Chicago Style. Here are some general steps to help you cite a paper:

1. Determine the citation style: Check with your instructor or refer to your assignment guidelines to determine the required citation style. Each style has its own set of rules for formatting citations.

2. Identify the necessary information: Look for the essential details needed for the citation, such as the author(s), article title, journal name, publication date, volume/issue number, and page numbers. These details are typically found on the title page or the top of the article's first page.

3. Format the citation: Use the appropriate citation style guide to format the citation correctly. The citation style guide provides specific instructions on how to format each element of the citation.

4. Create the citation: Based on the citation style guide, arrange the information in the correct order and format. Pay attention to details such as the use of italics, quotation marks, capitalization, and punctuation.

5. Include the citation in your paper: Depending on the citation style, citations are usually placed within parentheses within the text or as footnotes or endnotes. Also, include a full reference list or bibliography at the end of your paper, listing all the sources you have cited.

6. Proofread and double-check: Before submitting your paper, make sure to proofread your citations and cross-check them with the original source to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Remember, the specific citation format may differ depending on the style guide you are using. It's essential to consult the appropriate style guide or refer to online citation generators like EasyBib, Citation Machine, or BibMe for assistance with formatting citations.
