can sumbody help me with the steps to this math problem?

Evaluate: 9 + (8-2)^2 x 20 / 5

    9 + (8-2)^2 x 20 / 5

    9 + 36 * 20/5
    9 + 36 * 4 = ??

    oh i thought it went like this:
    9+(8-2)^2x20/5
    9+6^2*20/5
    9+36*20/5
    9+720/5
    9+144=153

    u c, my math teacher told me to do it in these steps:
    1)do all parantheses first
    2)exponents next
    3)do all multiplication and division, IN ORDER FROM LEFT TO RIGHT
    4)do all addition and subtraction, IN ORDER FROM LEFT TO RIGHT
