okay i am comepletely stuck on this math prob....:
x + 5y  10 = 0
x = 2y  8
i know the answer is
20/7 , 18/7
but i have no idea how they got it so

PLZ HELP!!!!

The second equation is telling you what x is..since it says " x=2y8" this tells you that wherever you see an x you can replace it with that equation, so you would get:
(2y8)+5y10=0
so then you would just solve for y to get 18/7. So now you know what y is you can put that answer in either equation and solve for x. for example:
x=2(18/7)8
so x=20/7

How to solve this problem? Here is what I have done so far. 12(1/2)% x (1/2)/(3/4) First i solved the fractions (1/2) x (4/3) =4/6 I changed the 12(1/2)% into a decimal by solving 1/2, which is .5 which equals to 12.5 Answer is 1/12
