What is the equation of a line that passes through point (1, -2) and has a slope of 1/3?

• ALGEBRA 1 -

y = m x + b

y = (1/3) x + b

-2 = (1/3) * 1 + b

b = -2 - 1/3 = -7/3
I think you can take it from there.
