In a design for a piece of medical apparatus, you need a material that is easily compressed when a pressure is applied to it.

Would this material have a large bulk modulus, small bulk modulus, or is the bulk modulus not relevant to this situation?

  • Physics -

    Pressure= bulkmodulus*deltaV

    Easily compressed means big deltaV, so bulk modules has to be small.

  • Physics -

    large bulk modulus

  • Physics -

    The answer is small.
