i think the answer is 1
is that correct?

if you add 2t + 1 =3 so 31=2 so 2 times what equals 2. not 1 because that would equal negative 2. its 1 because 2 times 1 is 2 plus 1 is three.

It's not 1.
2t + 1 = 3
Subtract 1 from each side of the equation:
2t = 2
Divide both sides of the equation by 2.
t = 1
